“My daughter, Gwendolyn has been studying with Mr. Vazopolos for two and a half years.  Gwendolyn has been playing piano for almost 10 years and Mr. Vazopolos is by far the best teacher she has had.  She has grown so much in the past couple of years under his instruction and because of this she was able to perform at Carnegie Hall after becoming a winner in The American Protege Competition.  Gwendolyn really looks forward to her lesson each week.  Not only is Mr. Vazopolos kind, he is very encouraging and challenges my daughter every lesson, making the pieces she plays exciting.  I also love how he sends a detailed chart each week on her progress and what she should work on.  We are so happy we found Mr. Vazopolos and we would absolutely recommend him to anyone who would like to take lessons.”

“We would recommend Mr. Paul unequivocally.  He teaches our 10-year old son and 5-year old daughter.  Although very different, they both enjoy Mr. Paul’s piano lessons.  Mr. Paul is able to appeal to their varied personalities.  Our 10-year old likes that Mr. Paul challenges him to play difficult songs, to focus on every aspect of his technique, and to help him set and achieve high goals, including playing in piano competitions.  Our 5-year old likes that Mr. Paul is patient, helps her with her finger and wrist form, and lets her play her favorite songs every lesson.  And both kids love playing Mr. Paul’s beautiful grand piano every week.  We feel extremely fortunate to have access to Mr. Paul’s knowledge, professionalism, and sincere passion for playing and teaching piano.”

“My daughters started taking lessons with Mr. Paul when they were 6 years old and are now age 9 and 14.  Mr. Paul is an amazing piano teacher and mentor for anyone seeking greater achievement and enjoyment in piano studies.  He is highly experienced and very professional which you can see in his lesson and in the results he creates in his students.  Mr. Paul is very patient and caring to his students.  Mr. Paul sets high standards and expectations that he makes clear.  I would highly recommend Mr. Paul for anyone looking for a solid and enjoyable music education and for anyone willing to work hard for amazing results.”

“I have started piano lessons at the age of 2, gave my first solo recital at the age of 4, studied 5 years at the Paris Conservatory in France, had a First Prize from there, one BM, three MM, from Argentina and the USA and two Doctoral Degrees from Argentina and the Juilliard School in New York.  I have performed all over the world, also for President Busch (father) in the White House, and for The Pope (before this one) in the Vatican.  I have met hundreds of hundreds of musicians and piano teachers in all the countries I went to, and I like to say here that very few times, very few, I have met a piano teacher of the caliber of Professor Vazopolos.  Every time I heard one of his students perform, I have been amazed by the quality of teaching he gives to his students.  Even now, and living in Manhattan, I couldn’t find many other teachers with his quality.  I really think that he is extremely important to the musical world.”

What can you really say about an extraordinary teacher?  That he is attentive? That he is determined to have your child succeed?  That he finds the precise balance between pushing hard and easing up when necessary?  That he is aware of the learning styles and differences of your child?  That he remains kind and understanding yet demanding?  That he can get even the most recalcitrant student to want to do well?

These are all things that I can say about Paul Vazopolos who is truly an extraordinary teacher.  My son has been working with Paul for over three years.  My son can be moody and inattentive and inconsistent and difficult.  Somehow Paul is able to keep him on track and get him to work hard.  Paul does this with grace and patience and unending tolerance.  The results of Paul’s efforts are amazing.  My son has been selected as a winner in both the American Fine Arts Festival competition and the American Protege competition.  These achievements are a testament to Paul’s skill as a teacher.  It is my understanding that many of Paul’s students go on to win competitions.

If you want a teacher who is passionate and knowledgeable about piano, who wants your child to achieve their potential and who sees every child as not only capable but as gifted, then bring your child to Paul and let him work his magic.

I highly recommend the Vazopolos School of Music.”

“According to my 7 year old, Mr. Vazopolos maintains a perfect balance of being strict and focused, whilst also being easy going.  His ability to tailor the pace and style of his teaching to suit the student, his keen attention to detail as well as the emphasis on continuous improvisation are the key benefits of learning with Mr. Vazopolos.  My daughter has blossomed into a budding pianist, in the three years she’s spent at the Vazopolos School of Music, and this would not be possible without Mr. Vazopolos’s committed dedication.  We highly recommend The Vazopolos School of Music to those, considering a serious piano education.”
